Flinders Ranges & Wilpena Pound Painting Trip

I recently spent five fabulous nights at Wilpena Pound with 7 other enthusiastic artists. What an inspiring place this was. Each day we would pack up our drawing and painting materials and drive through the spectacular scenery brilliantly coloured and patterned with spinifex and native pine trees on orange, mauve and purple soils with the craggy ranges as a back drop.  Kangaroos and emus roamed the landscape and wedge tail eagles soared over head. Bird song surrounded us as we attempted to depict the essence of this ancient country.

Now I have returned to another beautiful place, Tahbilk … inspired with a fresh new way of looking ….
