Rosa Purbrick is an experienced artist who lives on the banks of the serpentine, and sometimes moody, Goulburn River in Central Victoria, Australia. For some years now she has turned her eye to the cultivated and wild landscape of her home and the places of her travels. Her work is ever evolving as she interprets the environment and transcribes images with paint on canvas, ink on paper and hands on clay.

Collections of work

Mixed Media

A collection of works made from ceramics, recycled materials and nature inspired by the changing environment.

Works on Paper

A collection of work created on premium acid-free paper which represent the colours and patterns in the landscape.

Paint on Canvas

A collection of framed and unframed paintings stretched on Belguim linen and made with artist-quality materials.

"...Rosa has moved forward to a fresh arena of experimentation, one that links her more intimately with the 'living energy' of the vineyard. She now paints closer to the earth and allows the sun to dazzle her gaze."

— Anna Clabburn, October 1999
